A lot of people say our story started with a swipe right, and while that's true, we actually crossed paths back in college. We had some classes together and vaguely remember each other, but it wasn’t the right moment for us to get together.

In January 2022, Anne and Dan officially met for the first time. Dan was living in River Falls, WI, so we decided to meet up in Menomonie, WI. Our first date was at the Silver Dollar Bar & Restaurant.

After two months of dating, Anne was feeling both excited and a bit unsure, thinking, "he's just so nice." Still, they took the leap into an official relationship in March 2022.

Then, 2024 brought some big changes. In April of that year, Anne and Dan decided to move in together on the west side of Eau Claire. It was a new adventure as they got to know each other better and figured out living together, especially since neither had shared a home with anyone since 2015.

October 2024 was packed with weddings, birthdays, and work, but on October 27th, Dan found time to take Anne for a walk on the Red Cedar Trail in Menomonie, a place they used to walk when he lived there. They paused on a bench to enjoy a beautiful fall day. During a break in their conversation, Anne noticed Dan take a deep breath. Suddenly, he stood up and got down on one knee. Anne exclaimed, “Yes!” Dan replied, “ouch, my knee,” realizing he was kneeling on a rock, and then he asked Anne to marry him.

We are beyond excited to start this new chapter in our lives together and can’t wait to celebrate our love with family and friends in November.
