We first met in fifth grade as classmates. Annelise was mad that Clinton brought games to class on reading days, while Clinton was completely unaware that Annelise was even in class with him.

From Fifth Grade Classmates...

We re-met during our sophomore year in high school choir. We performed together in musical theater productions (pictured: Bye Bye Birdie, 2011) and shared lunch periods in the choir room. Before long, our friendship turned into our first date, and the rest was history!

...to High School Sweethearts...

Clinton and Annelise pursued their degrees at Texas State University and Southwestern University, respectively. While we were separated by considerable I-35 traffic, we still drove to visit each other every weekend and always made time to visit the beach, attend Fiesta, and travel to Colorado together throughout our time in college.

...to Higher Education...

On July 28, 2019, Clinton, Annelise, and the Carlin family hiked to Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Clinton surprised Annelise by proposing to her on the shore of the lake. Spoilers - she said yes! We're so excited to spend our lives together and see what adventures will come next.

Our wedding is going to look a little different than we originally planned!  Please be advised that our plans are subject to change or cancellation at ANY time, given the current health crisis.  We love you all and will be taking all precautions to keep you safe.  We are all on this rollercoaster together, so we appreciate your understanding as we navigate these uncertain times.

Q: What health protocols will you be following?A: We will be following all current and relevant guidance provided by the CDC and local and state leaders. This may include (but is not limited to) the use of hand sanitizing stations, following physical distancing procedures, and temperature checks.

Q: Will I have to wear a mask?A: Yes. We will require all guests to wear a mask during all activities, with the exception of when they are eating. We want everyone to enjoy themselves at our wedding and remain healthy after they leave, so it is very important to us that we protect the welfare of our friends and family by requiring the use of masks.

Q: What will the ceremony look like?A: Our ceremony will be very small in order to protect our guests. We will only be including...info to come.

Q: Will you be live-streaming the wedding ceremony?A: We are currently working to include this in our wedding plans so that more of our family and friends can enjoy our special day with us.
