Leila and I met in kindergarten through Girl Scouts, and she’s been a major part of my life ever since. Leila has been by my side for all the laughs, tears, and everything in between. I couldn’t imagine this day without my best friend as my Maid of Honor.

Jonathan is my oldest brother and a key role model in my life. He has always been there to support me in my life and give me any advice I need. I can't wait to have him be my best man on my wedding day.

Callista is my older sister and one of my greatest role models. From childhood memories to grown-up adventures, she’s been through it all with me. I’m so grateful to have her by my side as a bridesmaid on our big day.

Maddie was my very first friend at Hope College, and I’m so grateful our paths crossed. From late-night talks to countless laughs, she quickly became someone I couldn’t imagine life without. I’m so excited to have her by my side as a bridesmaid.

Devin is one my closest friends and teammate. We played travel basketball together and then were college teammates for 4 years. We lived together the final 2 years and I couldn't be more happy that he is one of my groomsmen.

For guests who would like to stay in downtown Grand Rapids, City Flats Hotel is a great option located near restaurants, shops, and local attractions. While we do not have a room block reserved here, guests are welcome to book directly with the hotel.

Since there’s about a two-hour break between the ceremony and cocktail hour, we wanted to share some of our favorite Grand Rapids recommendations to enjoy before the reception begins.

About 12 minutes from the church and 7 minutes from the reception, this classic Grand Rapids brewery is a great place to enjoy a local beer before cocktail hour.

Founders Brewing Co

Around 15 minutes from the church and 10 minutes from the reception, Meijer Gardens offers beautiful indoor gardens and sculpture exhibits.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

About 10 minutes from the church and about 5 minutes from the reception, this downtown coffee shop has a cozy feel with great drinks.

Morning Ritual Coffee Bar

Located about 12 minutes from the church and 9 minutes from the reception, the Downtown Market is an easy stop for coffee, desserts, drinks, or browsing local vendors.

About 10 minutes from the church and 6 minutes from the reception, this modern riverfront hotel offers a bar and restaurant with floor-to-ceiling views of downtown and the river,
