There are many things to do in Puerto Rico, including visiting beaches, exploring national forests, and exploring historic sites.

El Yunque National Forest

The only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System has some of the Island’s most popular hiking trails. The trails at the forest park offer convenient resting stops, stunning waterfall views, epic scenery, and a refreshing ambiance. You can go on your own or you can book a tour through TripAdvisor, Viator or GetYourGuide websites.

Old San Juan

The oldest European-founded city in the Americas, with a rich history and culture. Old San Juan is home to the San Juan National Historic Site, with buildings dating from the 16th century, including the San Felipe del Morro and San Cristóbal fortresses and the old city walls. Brightly colored houses line cobbled streets and shady plazas, alongside cool cocktail bars, shopping, dining, and nightlife.

Luquillo Beach (Balneario La Monserrate)

Relax on the soft sand, swim in the calm waters, and soak in the beautiful scenery. Just down the beach to the West (toward the Luquillo kiosks), there is usually a a vendor that rents kayaks, fly board and jet skis. Plenty of food & drink options are offered on the beach. You can order right from your chair and the food/drink will be brought to you. There is a nice “Bath House” that offers clean bathrooms, showers and changing rooms for a fee. You will be given you a wrist band for all day access. Parking is $4 for cars, this can be paid with Credit or debit card No CASH.

Luquillo Kioskos

The Luquillo Kiosks are comprised of a row of around 60 family-owned kiosks selling food, drinks, and souvenirs. You will find that they vary in style, taste, and price. They're all open air, and while some face the street, others have beautiful views of the beach. This is a perfect pitstop after enjoying a beach day on the east coast or a hiking day at El Yunque. A few favorites of ours are Terruno, Jibaro's, Antojitos & Edelweiss. For the best mojitos & burgers El Jefe Burger Shack.

Carabalí Rainforest Adventure Park

Go horseback riding, try ATV tours or go zip lining in the foothills of El Yunque National Forest. You can even race head-to-head against loved ones or good friends on their go-karts.

Laguna Grande

Bioluminescence is one of planet Earth’s best-kept secrets. Tiny organisms make the water glow at night & Puerto Rico has the main bioluminescent bays. In Fajardo, this bay is considered one of the brightest bioluminescent bays in the world. Aim for a new moon to experience the brightest bioluminescence as it provides the darkest nights.

To know when a full moon is coming, you can check a lunar calendar or a moon phase app on your phone. You can book a tour through TripAdvisor, Viator or GetYourGuide websites.

Mini boat Adventure

Experience the snorkeling adventure of a lifetime as you drive your own 13' Mini Boat along the protected white sand cays of Puerto Rico's eastern coast!

Catamarans

If you will not be joining us on Monday there are numerous catamarans available in Fajardo. These also can booked via TripAdvisor, Viator or GetYourGuide websites. Book early, they tend to sell out quick.
