There are two parts to a second line. The first line consists of the Brass Band. The revelers who follow behind are referred to as the second line. This consists of the newlyweds, wedding party, and wedding guests. As this is a celebration, second lines are popular and a tradition in New Orleans weddings—it signifies the beginning of a new life together
