Nick and Annie’s story began at DePauw University where they both went to college. They met briefly for the first time at a Theta informal, where Nick was dressed as a Cop and Annie dressed as a Bob’s Burger character. Somehow Annie caught Nick’s eye (if you saw a picture of Annie’s costume that day, you would question it too), and he introduced himself. A few months went by before they really talked again, but Nick finally won Annie over with his consistent conversation topic of “I can definitely beat you in 1-on-1” (Annie hates to admit this, but later in the relationship Nick did in fact beat her in a 1-on-1 game. 11-9, only because of his strength, not skill). Nick further impressed Annie on their first date with some Kroger sushi and a six pack of Summer Shandy at the Greencastle skate park. There wasn’t much in Greencastle, IN, he did his best!

Nick and Annie started dating during the last 2 months of Nick’s senior year. They quickly fell in love, so the thought of long distance was never really a fear or much of a question. Their relationship and strong feelings for each other made the decision easy to continue dating while Annie finished her last 2 years of college at Depauw and Nick started his career in Chicago. Those two years were filled with a lot of back and forth travel for the both of them. Monon Bell weekends, St Patrick’s day in the city, informals and formals, Bear’s games (of course), and many more weekend trips just to see each other.

Finally in June of 2019, Annie graduated and moved to Chicago! The next 4 years of living in the same city, Nick and Annie created and shared so many memories, adventures, and fun. They learned about each other and grew as a couple, falling more and more in love. There was never a lot of marriage talk between the two of them, but that’s only because it went without saying they both knew they were going to end up with each other forever. Over the past 6 years, Nick had pulled off some amazing surprises for Annie. Her 21st birthday had 4 separate surprises all wrapped in one, and until October 8th 2022, Annie didn’t think he would ever be able to outdo himself. But Nick proved her wrong and shocked her with a ring, got down on one knee, asked her to marry him, and then threw the best surprise party at Butch McGuires with all their friends and family!

Nick and Annie can’t wait to celebrate their love and future life together with all of you on June 1st, 2024!
