In August of 2020, Shane moved back to Colorado, from Phoenix, where he moved in with his brother Trenton. At that time, there were still quite a few restrictions because of Covid, so two of the few people who Annie would hang out with were her best friend, Emma, and Emma's boyfriend, Trenton (they're now married!). The four were almost always together, so it was probably a matter of time before Shane and Annie started showing interest in each other.

After a couple quick months, Shane finally asked Annie out! Their first date consisted of a nice dinner in Loveland and then rock climbing, which was pretty indicative of their future together. They're often eating or adventuring outdoors with friends and family. The two have started a life together in Windsor, Co with their two dogs, Boz and Baker, and cannot wait to see what the next chapter has in store!
