Our Wedding

Dan and Annie met in Washington, DC in the fall of 2018 after college to pursue their dreams, not knowing they would eventually run into each other (literally). Annie moved to DC for a job opportunity, where at the time she was living on her friend Allie's floor looking for apartments. One day, Allie and Annie were on a walk to the local gym where she ran into Dan, and his best friend Gordie, on the streets of DC. Gordie and Allie grew up together and are long-time friends. They introduced Dan and Annie to each other since she was fairly new (and single) to the city. Fast forward a month, Allie had invited Annie to a Hawaiian-themed party with a bunch of her Baltimore friends to introduce her. Once she walked in, she saw that "tall guy" she ran into on the street. It is not hard to miss Dan. Annie did not know anyone else at the party, so she immediately gravitated to Dan and his friends, not knowing this was the night where everything began. After long talks and flirty exchanges all night, Annie asked Dan to take her on a date on the following Tuesday. Since she was pretty forward, she did not believe this would go anywhere, let alone text her. Date night was set for Tuesday and heading to Jack Rose. Dan shows up in his Ruppert uniform for their first date, and if you know Dan... that is totally on brand. They then realize that upstairs is the cigar lounge. While trying to have small talk and first-date conversations, there is cigar smoke blowing all over them distracting the whole date. They then look at each other and both agree - "Let's just go across the street and get Chinese food." This was ultimately the first date of many more to come, eventually leading us to their special day... creating the most special memories to add to their love story.

We recommend spending our wedding weekend at the WaterColor Inn! All wedding events (besides the Rehearsal dinner) will be on the property throughout the weekend. The Inn is discounted for wedding guests. For those looking for alternative places to stay there are numerous vacation rental homes available on AirBnB or VRBO. Additionally other hotels within the area a short drive away.
