On the night of March 9th, 2022, I walked into Chick-fil-A to get a Cobb Salad. I was sitting alone eating my salad and someone invited me to come sit with the youth and young adults “church crew” from Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. The next thing I knew, I had the pleasure of sitting across from this cute guy named Sean. When our eyes met, I knew that Sean was the one for me. We hit it off right away! We started chatting over Facebook and Sean asked me to go on a date with him to the Oak Ridge Marina. During our first week of dating, he asked me to the Paul McCartney concert that was scheduled for May 31, 2022. We continued texting and within two weeks we were officially a couple.

Sean later got a job at Chick-fil-A and his work friends quickly became good friends to both of us. Sean began planning his proposal to me in April 2023, and he got my parents blessing before I even knew. He proposed to me on June 4th, 2023, which was one of the best days of my life. It was a Sunday, so as everyone knows, Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sunday’s, but Sean coordinated with his manager, Logan, to get the restaurant open just for this special event. I thought that I was accompanying him to a special staff meeting, but when we arrived, he took me to the same table where we first sat together. This time the table was decorated with a white tablecloth, candles, and red roses and with special music playing throughout the restaurant. Logan and his daughter Maddie had even laid out rose petals on the floor at the entrance. Sean executed a perfect proposal and presented me with a beautiful engagement ring which of course, was carefully placed inside a Chick-fil-A nugget box! Sean asked me if I “would make him the happiest man” by marrying him. I said “YES!” and he has made me the happiest women by spending the rest of my life with him. Our story will forever be in our hearts.

We know that God will bless this marriage. We both prayed for each other for a long time before we met, and our prayers have been answered!
