It's a small venue, will there be seats for everyone?
The short answer is no. If you are able, please be prepared to stand for the ceremony. We will have about 20 seats set up for people who need to sit - - that's about half of the guests. Our parents will have reserved seats. I promise the ceremony will be concise!
Ok, seriously, what do we wear?
We're getting decked out and encourage others to join in the fancy fun. Semi-formalwear and/or cocktail dresses highly encouraged. Sparkles encouraged. Take your cues from vintage Hollywood if you feel so inclined.
Did you say tacos?
We sure did. Would it really be us if it we offered anything else? The reception will be set up to encourage movement and conversation. There will be tall tables and regular tables for eating, seats on the patio and in the parlor for chatting, and space in between for spontaneous Elaine-inspired dancing.
Where are we registered?
Here at the Knot for some fresh-needed kitchen-y items, but mostly for our honeymoon fund. We started planning our honeymoon in Germany for fall of 2025. Any help to make it happen will be so appreciated. This once-in-a-lifetime experience is our greatest wish.
Also registered at Sur La Table for some Le Creuset wishes that will last our lifetime. Not really expecting those to happen, but it's fun to dream. https://www.surlatable.com/giftregistry
Where do I park?
There is street parking around Mansion Hill Inn. The university will be quiet for summer session, so finding a place should not be a problem, but be prepared to be a block or two down from the Inn.
I am staying at the Inn, do I find street parking too?
No! If you are staying at the Inn overnight (some immediate family and those directly helping with the wedding), valet parking is one of the amenities. Pull up in front of the inn, ring the bell, and they'll park your car in their secured lot for you.
Can our kids come?
We love your kids, and we want to be pretty transparent that this is not the most kid friendly of venues. If you are able, take this opportunity for a night of grown-up time.
What happens if it rains?
Everything is indoors or under a covered patio. I hear rain is lucky, so the only thing that would be a bummer is we may not get some of the planned outdoor pictures.
