We're Married!!
On June 11th, 2021 Jesse and Annie went to the Spokane Courthouse to get married!! It was a perfect day and a special, intimate ceremony <3 We truly missed having all of our friends and family there to celebrate with us - and you aren't off the hook yet!! We will be having smaller celebrations in multiple locations to keep on partying with everyone we love! Life Update!
Jesse has been accepted to University of Washington's Medical School! He will start this fall 2020 as a part of the Spokane cohort! We are so excited, so thankful and are feeling more of God's hand in these crazy plans! This summer we will be moving to Spokane Washington and settling in to prepare for our little Magnolia to arrive <3 thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!
It's a Girl!
We are being blessed with a daughter! Her name is Magnolia Ann Tonkinson <3 We can't wait to welcome Maggie to the world this August!
Our Adventure Begins!
Hello, Dear Family and Friends!
First, we know we have said it a lot, but thank you so much for being in our lives. We didn't know just how much we would need you when we sent out our invitations last December, but we are so grateful that there are so many people in our corner rooting us on, praying for us and supporting us.
So what in the world has been going on??
We'll start here; Jesse proposed on September 21st, 2019 on a beautiful bike ride around Crater Lake - please pause here and listen to this song and dance a little jig imagining Annie saying yes and the true joy that filled both of us!
We began our wedding planning, choosing a date and a venue and sending out Save the Dates. We were both very busy as well, Jesse was applying for Medical School and Annie was beginning her year of Student Teaching as a part of her Masters in Teaching program.
And then... we were sitting together in a doctors office hearing confirmation that our 7 week old baby was healthy and safe despite birth control, the unknowns, and our expectations for our future.
Fast forward 10 weeks and we have passed through our shock, three medical school interviews, submitting a grad school thesis, two medical school acceptances, one medical school wait list, a few ultrasounds, no more nausea, less fear, and more trust. God is taking us on an adventure that is going to be more fulfilling, more life giving, more challenging, and saturated in more love than either of us could have imagined.
So what are we going to do now??
We are going to pray and trust! And plan as best as we can...But here is what we know.
Baby Tonk is due on August 15th, 2020!
Jesse has been accepted to Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.
Annie will be graduating with her Masters in Teaching on April 27th.
We will keep you updated on what we decided to do this coming year!But we have decided not to continue with our July 5th, 2020 ceremony date. This way, we can focus on Annie's health and completion of Grad school, a decision about medical school and a possible move, as well celebrating Annie's growing belly! We can't wait for you to meet "Baby Tonk" at our future ceremony. Thank your for being understanding, as we know some of you have been planning for this for some time now! We can't image not bringing all of our loved ones together for a celebration, so please stay tuned for updated details regarding a ceremony and reception - we are saying tentatively Summer 2021.
