Jon Michael and Annie first met back in September of 2012 by their mutual friend, Kristen, and became a couple February 13, 2013. Although there's no fairytale story of how they met, Annie knew from day one that this was the man she was going to marry. Kristen and Annie had gone to get margaritas (when Annie used to drink... shocking, I know) and Kristen had told her JM was joining them for dinner. JM and Annie hit it off instantly and he later asked to put his number in her phone. Trying to play it cool, Annie texted him a couple days later to say hi... ONLY TO NOT GET A REPLY! She was so embarrassed that she was trying to not make it a big deal to Kristen but had to bring it up to her. That's when she told Annie that he supposedly left his phone on top of his car and drove off so he had lost his phone. About a week later, Annie told Kristen that she was nervous to call him and she said, "give me your phone". She called him and when she said this was Annie's number, he immediately said, "where are y'all? I'm coming over!" Since that night, they have been inseparable ever since! Later down the road, they have the most perfect fur baby named Koda and purchased their first home in Woodstock which they absolutely adore. They couldn't imagine doing life with anyone else!

On January 1, 2017 they went on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was Annie's first time on a cruise and they were having the time of their lives. Little did she know, her life was about to change forever. Their first night on the cruise, Jon-Michael and Annie had been watching the sunset while their friends were off exploring the boat. They later met back with their friends and Jon Michael had pulled her best friend, Kristen, aside to tell her that he was planning on proposing. Thinking he was going to do it in weeks or months to come, she asked, "OMG when?!" and his reply was, "right now". As he ran back to the room to get the ring, they had set up a plan to get Annie distracted. Jon Michael pulled Annie aside again to tell her how much he loved her (which was a normal thing when he has a few drinks in him) so she didn't think much of it. They discussed about all the great things they've been through in the past and what they are looking forward to in the future. As they began to hug, that's when Jon Michael cued Kristen to distract Annie. She said, "Annie come over here and take a picture!" Annie walked over and in the background of the picture (which she didn't see until later) JM was on one knee! Annie turned back around and couldn't believe it. JM asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. It was the best day of her life and of course she said YES!!!
