Welcome Event
Saturday, December 28, 2024

Attire: Casual/Active
Thrilled to formally welcome you to the captivating province of Chiang Mai, nestled in the scenic mountains of Northern Thailand. Soak in the beauty of your surroundings as you relax and mingle with fellow guests as we prepare for an amazing weekend of celebration and love.
We have scheduled a full day private tour starting early in the morning: Chiang Dao Cave, elephant sanctuary, lunch, Sticky Waterfalls.
Please bring (i) cash for entry fees and (ii) wear lightweight clothes you don't mind getting wet/dirty. Thai people are a lot more modest in their clothing so you won't see a lot of swimsuits.
For those going to the private muay thai class, you will miss the Sticky Waterfalls but still be able to enjoy the morning and lunch portion of the tour. Vans have been arranged to take you from lunch to The Bear Fight Club.

Traditional Ceremony
Sunday, December 29, 2024
3:30 PM
Sixflowers Garden
WW76+8C, Mae Raem, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai, Thailand
Attire: Traditional Lao or Thai or Semi-Formal
Experience the vibrant and culturally rich traditions of a Laos wedding. The ceremony begins with the lively Khaan Maak Procession (Groom's Procession), where the Groom, accompanied by music and dancing, journeys to the Bride's "home" with trays of offerings. The Groom must then pass through symbolic gates to reach his Bride. This is followed by a traditional white thread ritual, where guests tie white threads around the couple’s wrists, symbolizing unity and blessings. Red envelopes with money or gifts are presented to the couple.
There will be a light lunch in the garden followed by a small surprise to keep the celebrations soaring after the ceremony.
