WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE?
We've asked for all RSVPs by May 10th 2024, so we can have an accurate headcount. Please don't forget to include your dietary requirements. If we've reached out to you and we have offered to extend the deadline - please let us know your attendance ASAP.
WHAT IF I HAVE A DIETARY RESTRICTION?
We want to ensure everyone has a delightful dining experience. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you RSVP, and we'll try our best to accommodate.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
If you are making your own way to the Church, the Ceremony will begin promptly at 14.00. We recommend arriving before 13.45 to ensure you have time to settle in.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
There is limited parking near the church and entrance of our venue but we recommend taking advantage of our shuttle bus or taxi services!
CAN I BRING A DATE?
If we haven't extended a +1 invitation, we hope you understand and respect our decision. However, if you have a specific circumstance or situation, please feel free to reach out to us directly, and we will do our best to accommodate. Thank you for your understanding!
ARE KIDS WELCOME?
As much as we love your little ones, unless invited/discussed prior - we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognise that some of you may be traveling with your kids, so please let us know in advance because if you cannot find other arrangements for them, we may be able to offer a babysitting service at the venue. Please reach out if you have questions!
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
The weather in Porto can be a little unpredictable but generally in June, we should see warm weather and sunshine! During the day, the weather in Porto should be beautiful, averaging 25-30 degrees, but may get chillier at night.
IS THE WEDDING INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
Our wedding ceremony will be mostly indoors, but our reception venue will be outside for cocktails and canapés (there will be rain cover) and we will end up inside for the dinner and dancing.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Traditional Portuguese Catholic weddings are typically formal events.
It is normally customary for guests to dress in formal or semi-formal attire. It is also generally considered traditional for women to cover their shoulders in the Catholic Church, however it is not mandatory for our Wedding.
IT IS MY FIRST TIME IN PORTO, WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
For those visiting Porto for the first time, we suggest looking for accommodation in or near the city centre for ease of exploration. Keep in mind, if you opt for a central location, it may be bustling, especially on Sunday evening during the St. João festival. This could lead to some noise at night. On the other hand, if you choose a more tranquil setting away from the crowds, do anticipate potential challenges in finding taxis. It ultimately depends on the kind of experience you're seeking!
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND IN PORTO?
In Porto, taxis, public transport, and walking are convenient options. If you have specific destinations in mind, feel free to ask us for recommendations on the best mode of transportation.
Keep in mind that Porto boasts many charming yet hilly and cobbled streets, so it's best to opt for comfortable footwear as you explore!
SHOULD I RENT A CAR?
While you're welcome to rent a car, we don't think it's necessary, since parking in the city centre can be challenging, and there are restrictions due to ongoing construction of a new metro line.
Porto is very accessible in general, quite pedestrian-friendly, with many attractions within walking distance. Additionally, Uber services are readily available, affordable, and convenient. We have also arranged transportation between venues for your convenience.
