Our Wedding

Our love story is one of our absolute favorites to share—it’s been filled with friendship, laughter, so much love, and the sweet evidence of Jesus.      We first met in high school, and over the years, our connection grew stronger. Even while attending colleges in different cities, we stayed in touch, and whenever we were home visiting, we’d spend time together—usually with friends and board games involved, which was always a blast! Looking back, it’s fun to think about how natural it was to gravitate toward each other.      After college, we both found ourselves in Willmar—Tyler working for Heglund Catering, which was a fun connection since my uncle started the company and he and my mom were still working there! Naturally, this meant spending a lot of time with the Heglund crew, even tagging along as Tyler’s plus one to a few Christmas parties. It’s clear now that we were always drawn to each other.       In 2020, God brought us even closer when I started a new job at Procore—which, just so happened to share an office campus with Heglund Catering. The Heglund cafeteria became the perfect excuse to see each other more often, and before long, our friendship grew into something much more as he continued to pursue me *insert heart eyes emoji here*      On July 20, 2021, he took me on our first official date—mini golfing and pizza (oh and yes, I beat him!). A month later, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Later that year, on my birthday in Myrtle Beach, he told me he loved me, and on August 3, 2024, he proposed at my favorite place in the world (so far): Split Rock Lighthouse.      Our relationship is a wonderful reflection of our friendship, the foundation that led us to where we are today. We believe with all our hearts that we’re soulmates, and we know God’s hand has been in our story every step of the way. We feel so blessed and thankful to be building a life together, and we cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you this fall!
