It starts as all love stories do, with Dominos Pizza and fishing on Hospital Point at USNA. That was the romantic first date and it's only gotten better!

While home during the COVID shutdown in May 2020, I got a message on Instagram from a girl named Ansley Starr. I knew her previously through friends and living near each other but had not had much interaction to this point. We kept talking, and I could not help but ask for her number. The more we talked the more intrigued I was. Not knowing when we would head back to school, I made her promise to go on a date with me whenever we saw each other.

Fast forward to July and though we were not allowed to leave the Yard (the Naval Academy campus in Annapolis, MD), we decided to order food and meet on Hospital Point (a large grassy sports field area overlooking the Severn River). I brought the pizza and the fishing poles. We may not have caught any fish that day, but she is certainly my number one catch! - MJF

Since those first dates on the Yard in Annapolis, we have had some of the most incredible experiences. We share similar interests and love spending quality time together. We have been to sporting events like the US Open in NYC and the Masters in Augusta, we have ridden horses together in Florida, we go fishing with friends out on the boat in North Carolina, and we walk the historic streets of Annapolis down to Vin 909 for pizza every chance we get. Every moment together feels like the best moment of all. This is just the beginning of our story! -ASG
