If you had asked either of us a few years ago whether we would end up getting married, we probably would have laughed—and then gone right back to Bible study. Our story didn't begin with fireworks, love at first sight, or a dramatic movie-worthy moment. It began with two people who loved Jesus, were rebuilding parts of their lives, and were trying to faithfully follow wherever God led them next. We met through a Bible study and, for nearly two years, remained nothing more than acquaintances. During that time, we attended studies, hiked mountains, played volleyball, served our community, and spent time with the same group of friends. To be honest, neither of us saw this coming. Ansley was a reserved but bubbly woman quietly rebuilding her life and growing deeper in her faith. Kindall, on the other hand, was impossible to miss. Outgoing, energetic, and always ready to start a conversation with anyone breathing, he was, in Ansley's words, carrying "far too many red flags" to be considered a serious prospect. Thankfully, God isn't nearly as impressed by first impressions as we are. The turning point came after a volleyball game with our Bible study group. Feeling social, we invited everyone to go to Sonic afterward. We expected a crowd. We got... one person. So there we sat—just the two of us—wondering where everyone went and making the best of an unexpectedly empty Sonic parking lot. What was supposed to be a casual group hangout quickly turned into hours of conversation. And suddenly, after nearly two years of knowing each other, we actually got to know each other. As we talked, we discovered that our lives had far more in common than either of us realized. We shared similar experiences, similar struggles, similar dreams, and, most importantly, a shared testimony of God's grace and restoration. Both of us had made mistakes along the way. Both of us had experienced seasons that looked very different from what we thought our lives would become. Yet through every detour, disappointment, and lesson learned, God remained faithful. The more we talked, the more we realized that the same God who had been patiently restoring each of our lives individually had been writing a story neither of us could see. We bonded over our love of travel and adventures. We discovered a mutual tendency to say "Why not?" to new experiences. We found ourselves taking spontaneous road trips across Tennessee, finding new places to explore, and creating memories from the most ordinary moments. Somewhere between Bible study nights, volleyball games, impromptu drives, endless conversations, and laughing until we cried, something incredible happened:We became best friends. And before long, we fell in love. What began as two acquaintances sitting alone at Sonic because nobody else showed up became the start of a relationship that has changed both of our lives forever. Looking back, our story is about much more than how we met. It is a story about God's restoration. It's about a God who takes broken things and makes them beautiful. It's about a God who writes better stories than we could ever write for ourselves. It's about a God who was working behind the scenes long before we ever realized it. Today, as we prepare for marriage, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. We are thankful for the families who have loved and supported us, for the friends who have walked alongside us, and for the countless ways God has guided our steps. As we begin this next chapter, we do so with excitement, humility, and faith—trusting the Lord to lead our home, our future family, and every step ahead. Thank you for celebrating with us. This road is safe and regularly maintained, but we kindly ask that all guests drive slowly and mindfully as they make their way up the hill so that everyone arrives safely. Once you reach the top, you will find open parking available for all guests. We truly appreciate your patience and care, and promise the view at the top is well worth the drive!

Frequently Asked QuestionsWe’re so excited to celebrate with you! Below are some helpful answers to common questions as you plan for the big day. What time should I arrive?We recommend arriving 1 hour before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking, seating, and taking in the view. Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, weather permitting. We recommend checking the forecast and dressing accordingly, including comfortable shoes for walking on uneven ground. However, indoor seating will be available throughout the duration of the event. What should I wear?We kindly request formal, semi-formal or dressy casual attire. Please keep in mind that parts of the venue are outdoors and may include natural terrain. Is there parking available?Yes! Once you arrive at the venue, there is open parking available for all guests. How do I get to the venue?Please note that guests will travel up a gravel road to reach the venue. The road is safe, but we ask that everyone drives slowly and carefully to ensure all guests arrive safely and comfortably. The address is 1289 River Cliff Way, Sparta, TN, 38583. We promise the view at the top is worth it! Will transportation be provided?No, transportation will not be provided. Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the venue.
