Our Wedding

First Met:Antawn and Elexius first met in Union City (2017). Elexius was living in Murray, KY and Antawn lived in Union City, TN. At the time, Elexius was enlisted in the Kentucky National Guard and had to come home one weekend due to having to be deployed to Florida to assist with the hurricane.

First DateTheir first date was at a Grizzles Game in Memphis, TN (2018) Antawn invited Elexius to double date with his head coach and his wife, The Sisco's, at Texas De Brazil and then they went to enjoy the game together.

First Trip TogetherAntawn and Elexius took their first trip together to Atlanta, GA (2019). For New Years Eve, they met up with Antawn's best friend and his fiancé at the time, The McFalls.

First Family Trip TogetherFun Fact. When Antawn and Elexius first met, Antawn was a school teacher. Elexius moved from Murray to Union City and enrolled her son at Union City Elementary, where Antawn was a teacher at the time. They dated for months before telling her son, Caelon. Their first family trip together was to St. Lous (2019)

We Are ExpectingAntawn and Elexius found out they were expecting a baby girl on Thanksgiving 2019. They shared the news with close family and friends with a gender reveal. Antawn's grandmother, Mama Kat held the lucky cupcake that revealed the gender. Little did we know, how close they would be.

Acie Raye CobyOn May 29, 2020 Antawn and Elexius welcomed a healthy baby girl. The day was so special being that it was Elexius' late great grandmother birthday as well. Fun Fact, Antawn came up with the name Acie Raye. He took his first and last name initial and gave her his grandfather's middle name. We get so many compliments on her name.

Will You Marry Me?Antawn asked Elexius to marry him Halloween night of 2023. Their daughter was obsessed with the idea of them dressing as the Proud Family for Halloween. So they made it happen and by surprise Antawn took that moment to propose.

Coby Party of Four Now a family, Elexius and Antawn are very blessed with a 4 year old and a 14 year old. Antawn is still a school teacher and assistant Boys Baskeball Coach at Union City High School. Elexius took on a career in sales as a Premier Sales Agent for Wayfair LLC. The family resides in Union City, TN where they bought their first home together.   We both came from a perspective that never imagined being in a relationship, let alone starting a family or getting married. But we also both come from a family that has a strong belief in God and what he can do.    Our love story is a Blessing and we cannot wait to see what else God has in store for us!

The Coby’s will be honeymooning to Jamaica to start their beginning as one
