It all started in 2018 when a mutual friend introduced Brooke & Anthony at a college Bible study group.
On paper the two were quite different than each other. Anthony was a college baseball player who lived and breathed sports, while Brooke had never been to a sports game before (and would much rather spend her time at the mall).
This made Anthonys job more difficult, but after learning that Brooke could never say no to coffee, he made his move and asked her to grab a cup one Saturday afternoon. Later Brooke would learn that Anthony did not in fact like coffee, but would soon develop a caffeine addiction to match hers in his efforts to win her over.
Many lattes later the two became official on January 21st 2019. Over the years they learned from each other and formed an inseparable bond. Brooke taught Anthony to tie his shoes (yes, you read that right) and to love the beach; and Anthony opened Brookes eyes to the world of sushi and taught her to be a tad more social [insert homeschool joke here].
As life went on they accomplished much together—navigating the pandemic, graduating college, securing their first career jobs, and growing in their love for Jesus. Fast forward to December 2022 — Anthony was ready to pop the question just in time for Christmas. That was until Brooke decided to get Covid...
Fast forward again to January 8th — the big day. The two were engaged at the same beach where they had spent so many hours together over the years talking, watching movies, having picnics, learning to surf, and falling in love.
In one of the photos from their proposal, a sliver of a rainbow is visible in the sky reminding us of Gods promise. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth. Genesis 9:13 & 16
