🌲 Natural Wonders and Outdoor Adventures 🥾

Lake Louise


This world-famous lake is a must-see with its turquoise water and glacier backdrop. Rent a canoe in summer or stroll the shoreline trail. (45 mins from Banff)



Moraine Lake


Tucked in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, it’s truly breathtaking. Pro tip: go at sunrise if you can! (Access by shuttle/tour only during summer)



Bow Falls


A beautiful waterfall just a short walk from the Fairmont. Great for a peaceful stroll and photo op!



Banff Gondola & Sulphur Mountain


Ride to the top of the mountain for epic 360° views, a scenic boardwalk, and mountaintop dining. Conveniently located downtown Banff.



Tunnel Mountain


A local favorite! Short but rewarding with sweeping views over Banff and the Bow Valley. Trailhead is walkable from downtown (1.5–2 hrs round-trip).



Bow River Trail


A relaxing walk that follows the river right through town. Easy and flat—perfect for all ages and a great intro to Banff’s beauty.



Fenland Trail


A peaceful forest loop just a few minutes from downtown Banff. Great for wildlife spotting and quiet moments in nature (1.2 miles/2 km).



Hoodoos Trail


Scenic trail that leads to unique sandstone spires overlooking the Bow Valley. You can start near the Fairmont or from Surprise Corner. Moderate with amazing views!



Spray River Loop


This gentle riverside loop starts just behind the Fairmont Banff Springs. Great for a morning walk or bike ride, with views of the golf course and surrounding peaks (easy to moderate).



Johnston Canyon


Catwalks and bridges take you deep into a canyon with waterfalls around every corner. About 30 min drive from Banff, but shuttle options available.



Lake Agnes Tea House Hike (from Lake Louise)


A classic alpine hike to a cozy tea house with glacier views. You’ll earn your tea and cookies! Moderate, about 2 hours each way.
