Do I need a passport?
Yes, you'll also need to make sure your passport is valid 6 months after your return date to the US at the conclusion of the trip. For example, if you're flying back to the US on March 19th, your passport will need to be valid through September 19th.
Do I need to be vaccinated (COVID-19)?
No, however you will need to provide a negative test (not rapid) prior to your flight to Jamaica (3 days, more info below and on Travel tab), in addition to completing and submitting a Travel Authorization form (within 7 days of your departure for Jamaica). On resort, Sandals will notify, inform, and facilitate the negative test needed to return home. Additional information on the travel tab is here too : "At the moment (subject to change), Along with an approved Travel Authorization form prior to boarding a flight to Jamaica (found here) ALL travelers ages 12 and up are required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 (PCR, NAA, RNA) or Antigen test performed by an accredited lab for which the sample was collected within 3 days of the travel date. Additionally, on the island, the resort will contact and inform you of the process of the test prior to departing from Jamaica as well. Travel Authorization applications must be submitted within seven (7) days of the intended travel date. As changes develop we will update and notify you!"
Are tips, taxes, gratuity included?
YES, other than if you have butler service, the resort staff can actually be fired if seen accepting tips by management.
Is there a shuttle from the airport?
Yes shuttles to and from the airport are included with your reservation
Is there a dress code for the wedding?
As this is a destination wedding, we don't expect suits and formal attire. However, please prepare to not dress too casually (i.e., linen shirts and slacks for men and summery dresses for women would be awesome)
When should I book my room?
We have consulted and have a travel agent (additional information under Travel tab), and while you can book at your own convenience, rooms are filling up at the resort as we are one of multiple groups expected during our stay. In addition, given the nature of the Global Pandemic, weddings/vacations that were cancelled/postponed are being rescheduled for 2022, but our awesome travel agent can help you find the room/stay that works best for you!
I am traveling alone, can I pair up with another lone-traveler?
Yes. Sandals rooms are priced for 2 people per room. We have assisted in linking up a couple people for reservations already, please let MaryAnn and/or Anthony/Lacey know if you'd like to and we'll work with you to make it happen
