Where to Stay

One of our favorite spots on the Washington side, Cor is a modern winery with great wine and incredible atmosphere. They are one of the few places in the gorge, or the greater Portland area that provides vegan charcuterie options to pair with their wine. Small details like this make this winery one of a kind. p.s. Check out their bathrooms if you're a fan of playful and artful interior design.

Cor Cellars

Obviously, if you have the chance and you're on the gorge, you MUST see the falls. During the summer Multnomah is much less powerful than other seasons but it doesn't make it any less breathtaking. Peep the falls on your drive in or stop by and admire it from the lower bridge. If you would like to hike the falls, we would suggest to do it backwards (around 5 miles). Starting from Wahkeena Falls, you will make your ascent up more gradually and end at the top of Multnomah. Then you will walk down the switchbacks and watch the expressions of hikers before sending us a thank you text for this tip!OR if you're a total badass, run up those switchbacks and tell us about it later so we can admire your athleticism and bravery.

Multnomah Falls

There's few breweries we highly recommend. This one is truly one of the best in the PNW. Modern architecture mixed with live greenery, this spot has it all and with a great view of the river as well. There are a range of brews to choose from as well as house-made cocktails, some made with their own kombucha!There's a array of food options for everyone, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and other dietary restrictions.

Ferment Brewing Company

Timberline Lodge, located at 6,000 feet on Mount Hood's southern side, is a historic center on the mountain. A cultural center for skiing and snowboarding, it also has lots of activities during the summer.Visitors can hike on various trails, including the popular Timberline Trail, which has beautiful mountain views. Mountain biking is also available, and scenic chairlift rides offer lovely sights for those wanting a relaxed outing. Nearby Trillium Lake is perfect for fishing, swimming, and picnicking, making it family-friendly. As well as being a National Historic Landmark, you might recognize Timberline from the movie The Shining.
