We met at Novi High School in 2015 at the beginning of Mikala's senior year and Anthony's junior year. We became fast friends over our shared love of hockey and our shared need to do well in our calculus and psychology classes. We started dating shortly after Mikala's graduation in 2016 and have been together since.

We both attended Michigan State University. We split our time between hockey games, football games, and the second floor of the East Wing of the MSU Library. When the pandemic began in March 2020, we (like many others) made the decision to get a puppy, our Mini Australian Shepherd Archie. Archie had a blast living with all of the now-groomsmen at our beloved Red Cedar Flats apartment.

After we both graduated from MSU, we moved to Atlanta together, where Anthony began his Ph.D. in political science at Emory University and Mikala began physician assistant school at Brenau University. We live outside Atlanta, where we enjoy gaming together and catering to Archie's every need (we are hoping to take up more interesting hobbies eventually). Anthony popped the question on February 28, 2023 at Little Mulberry Park in Dacula, Georgia.
