We are thrilled to have you join us in Santa Barbara to celebrate our wedding. While you're in town, we hope you take the opportunity to explore. Here is a list of a few of our favorite spots:
Joe’s Cafe is the oldest restaurant in the city and is a favorite amongst locals. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but beware—Joe's is known for having the stiffest drinks in town.
A Farrell Family favorite, The Boathouse is a quintessential Santa Barbara restaurant located right on the beach. It offers incredible breakfast, lunch, and dinner—so you can't go wrong.
Home of Deep Sea and Conway Wines, this tasting room offers breathtaking 360° views of the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, and Riviera. The outdoor tasting deck on Stearns Wharf makes for a unique wine tasting experience.
If you are coming to Santa Barbara for the first time you have to go to the Funk Zone! It is one our favorite place to go when we are in town. The 13 block neighborhood is home to some of the best restaurants, bars, tasting rooms and breweries in the city. A few of our favorite spots are:
Mony's Mexican Food - Incredible tacos
SB Biergarten
Brass Bear
Third Window Brewing - great beers and amazing smash burgers
Santa Barbara Winery - Santa Barbara Winery is the oldest winery in the county and offers a selection of award winning red and white wines
Originally established as a stagecoach stop in the 1860, Cold Spring Tavern is a rustic log cabin style restaurant located in the mountains between Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez (about a 20 min drive from downtown Santa Barbara). They are famous for their tri-tip sandwiches but offer other types of American cuisine as well. It's a bit off the beaten path but the food and ambiance are well worth the drive.
If you have time, plan a day trip to visit Solvang. Located about 45 mins north of Santa Barbara, Solvang is known as "The Danish Capital of America." Stroll down Copenhagen Drive tasting Aebleskiver and other Danish pastries, or sampling wine.
