It started in 2018 when Anthony became Gianna’s lab partner where we all exchanged numbers to share class information. Fast forward two years, and Anthony sent out some photos of stray dogs he was feeding to some of his Snapchat friends while adventuring on his deployment. Nicole had to spark a conversation because of her love for pups. Anthony had told her he was away on deployment, much to her surprise as she was not aware he was in the service!

The FaceTimes began as Nicole was navigating through nursing school and Anthony was wrapping up his time as a Military Police Investigator. Long nights ensued with the time difference from Kosovo but Anthony would sit outside his 2x4 cabin to speak with Nicole even if it meant he lost sleep (he was 5 hours ahead).

Our vet had finally returned home on December 5th, 2020 and took Nicole on their first date on December 10th at the beloved Cecchoni’s of DUMBO. Nicole was sold when he ordered two burrata’s to the table as an appetizer.

We could say, “From there, it was history”.
