Our story started over 20 years ago! We were both in college (different schools) and working at the same time. De would frequent the store I worked at in the mall with her best friend Cassie (looking for the discount of course lol) Underground Station for the latest urban gear. Thats all Joliet had really.. haha. We ended up exchanging numbers and we would hang out when we were free and the vibe has always been thereo.

Our relationship was so organic and just blossomed as we both grew to be amazing women. We shared a many of milestones from my 21st birthday, moving into our own places to De crossing as a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc, to College graduations. The love was flowing first apartments first rides our families supporting and happy…

Life took us in different directions for a period of time but it was to give us more life experiences to become better versions of ourselves and coming back stronger than ever. We both admitted we continued to search for each other in others but that wasn’t meant as only the Lord and everyone else knew the love we had for each other.

We came right back together like we didn’t even skip a beat, almost like a slight intermission in a movie. There was no time for dating and we got engaged. In the words of De “you have already been my girlfriend I want you to be my wife” There was no question if ands or butts about it and I said yes!!!

Seems like everyone knew we were meant to be together and having a partner who is also your best friend is more than what anyone could ask for!!!
