Some things are meant to be, and our love is one of those things. As kitschy as it sounds, destiny truly took care of us. After grad school, Anton moved to Pittsburgh for a job at a small tech start-up in Lawrenceville. Ruby could see clearly into that office from her apartment directly across the street. As fate would have it, Ruby accepted a job at Govini only a month later. We quickly went from coworkers to best friends. Our daily walks up the street to Espresso A Mano (the coffee shop in our engagement photos) became the highlight of both of our days. We’d chat throughout the day over Slack or when Anton would work in the recliner directly behind Ruby’s desk.

It was pretty apparent to everyone in not only our close-knit office, but also to both of our families how crazy we were about each other. It was a fun, coworker night out at karaoke that sealed our fate. Ruby, singing in her “can’t carry a tune, but doesn’t care at all voice”, and Anton not at all wanting to get up and sing in front of anyone, we were a match made in heaven. We’ve been inseparable ever since!

Last summer, Anton proposed on the rooftop of that very office where we met, with the sun setting over the Pittsburgh skyline in the background. This winter, on January 12th, our world was completed when we welcomed our daughter, June Isabella, into the world. We can’t wait to meet at the altar surrounded by everyone we love this fall, and we hope that you will all be there to celebrate with us!
