Once upon a time, on a random evening in 2018, a group of young professionals met for Happy Hour in Tyson's Virginia. One of the group, Annie, introduced her friend and newly joined member of Intelsat to the others. And so technically, Anusha (the new one) met Brett (one of the others).

However, let's be honest. This might have been how we met - but it isn't the real start of the story. For that, we need to skip forward to late 2021.

In the last couple months of 2021, Brett began to take his dog Maple to a local dog park, so that she could have more opportunities to socialize & play with other dogs. As most pandemic pup adoptions, Maple had missed out on chances to play with other dogs. On one of these trips, Brett & Maple happened to come to the Herndon dog park at the same time as Anusha & Veer.

Both dogs immediately hit it off, running around the park playing chase, wrestling & getting covered in sand. The humans - having known each other from work - were pleasantly surprised at this development and decided to plan future doggo play dates. And even though they were supposed to make plans for their fur children, Brett & Anusha ended up texting for hours, eventually planning on seeing local historic Leesburg together (without the dogs). And that folks, is the real story of how Brett & Anusha came to be. It was all because of the pups.

We did eventually plan an actual doggo date too.
