Our story began on a fateful day in August 2020 at PHD rooftop. We were instantly compatible. What I remember most from that night is Neha’s smile – a smile that I felt could light up the entire sky. A few hours and one too many Moscow Mules later, we went our separate ways. After that night, I was determined to see her again. Dating during Covid in New York City was difficult – most places were shut down or inaccessible, except my local bodega. So I planned the most romantic date I could think of: a picnic at Central Park. I picked up a bottle of the finest wine and the finest cheese ($4.99, Pepperjack) at my bodega for the finest girl. The sun set, and conversation flowed into the late night. We continued to see each other every chance we could, and the rest is history…
Anveet and I first crossed paths in the chaos of COVID at PHD Rooftop in NYC. Even today, I still remember the ease of our first conversation, hours passing without either of us noticing. I assumed we would become great friends after our initial meeting, but Anveet had other plans. He asked to meet again, and little did I know I had said yes to the most romantic date I could have ever dreamed of. A sunset picnic at Central Park alleviated my nerves and relieved any doubts I had. Even though I was convincing myself otherwise, I could not prevent the inevitable. The more I tried to fight my feelings, the more I felt myself drawn to him. Not long after, I fell in love. I am eternally grateful that I let my heart lead me to my soulmate right here in the heart of New York City.
