Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) — This is the main international airport and the closest to the city center (about 20–30 min).
Public Transport (Budget-Friendly)
Metro (Subway)
Lisbon Airport has a metro station right at the terminal.
Take the Red Line into the city center and transfer as needed.
A journey into central areas like Baixa/Chiado typically takes about 30 min and is very affordable. You’ll need a small transit card (≈€0.50 + fare).
Bus
Public Carris buses connect the airport with parts of the city.
Note: The Metro runs roughly 6:30 am–1 am. If you arrive outside these hours, taxis or ride-shares are better.
Taxi / Ride-Share
Available 24/7 just outside Arrivals.
Typical trip to central Lisbon is about €12–€20 and ~20 minutes depending on traffic.
Uber / Bolt
Ride-share apps work well in Lisbon and are often slightly cheaper than taxis (and charged via the app).
