Jayson and Aoife met during their freshman year at the University of Texas at San Antonio in their psychology class. They got close through mutual friends and became best friends all through their college years. In September of 2020, Jayson took Aoife to the Dodging Duck in Boerne, Texas as a "friend date" and then 5 months later asked her to be his girlfriend on their menu.

Fast forward to August 2023, Jayson proposed to Aoife at the Sour Duck Market (it looks like we have a duck theme going...) and now they will be getting married at the same church and hotel where Aoife's parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents got married.
