Our Wedding

We met way back in 2007 in kindergarten in our home town of Barnesville, MN. Some would say love at first sight… well it took about twelve more years for that to evolve. While classes, activities, friends groups, and every thing else had us crossing paths, we never really even talked. We knew of each other but growing up in our own friend groups with April hanging out with the “derpy annoying” kids and Matt being an ironically small athlete, interactions were few and far between. Fast forward to our senior year of high school, both of us were in multiple classes together, in particular Mr.Johnson’s Calculus, Mr.Johnson’s Study Hall, and Mr.Goering’s Physics and Robotics class were important to us. In these three classes, we started to become friends over time. After months of me, being passively trying to impress April, I finally got my shot when the Snoball dance was coming up and I heard that April didn’t have a date. I figured after months of partnering with April and becoming friends, I was going to go for the ever classy move of asking April to Snoball… over Snapchat. To my amazement, she said “Yes” (ironically not the last time😉). During our Snoball date, me and April discovered that we bothlove 90’s country, traveling, and the outdoors. Our relationship bloomed from there. We then both went to NDSU together where neither of us had roommates… or friends in college for that matter. After finishing our freshman year, we got our first apartment together. We lived there for about three years before we recently bought our first home. We have enjoyed traveling the world together, spending time outdoors, and just being together all the time. We have two kitties, Pretty Girl and Dak, that we have had since we first got our apartment. We look forward to what the future holds for us!
