April and Brent met for the first time in Mr. O'Leary's choir class at McNeel Middle School, when she was 11 and he was 13. Though they never truly connected until they were adults, their lives overlapped throughout middle and high school. They had their first date in October of 2022, and, as they say, the rest is history.
