Jake was born and raised on the west side of Oahu, an island boy who grew up living on boats and sailing with his family. April grew up in Kansas, and traveled for a year post graduating college before moving to Oahu in January 2024.

Jake had been working as a captain for Ocean Joy Cruises for almost a year when April got a job as a deckhand this last January. Can’t say it was love at first sight (thanks Miranda and Jace LOL), but three weeks after April started, Jake got the courage to ask April on a date. He borrowed some fins and a mask from his dad’s boat, picked her up with some flowers and poke, and they went shell diving! Weve been inseparable ever since <3
