Our love story

Picture of Our love story

On a snowy winter night in Ontario, Canada, a little girl entered the world—wrapped in warmth, wonder, and northern starlight. Far away, on a blazing summer day in Wisconsin, a little boy was born under a bright, sun-soaked sky. They didn’t know it then, but their lives would one day beautifully intertwine.

She grew up in Canada before moving to Rome, Georgia. He grew up in Edgerton, Wisconsin, then relocated twice—first to Dyersburg, Tennessee, and finally to Smiths Station, Alabama. Along the way, both faced heartache and difficult relationships that made love feel like a faraway dream. She, especially, was ready to give up on it entirely… but something told her to give love one last chance.

That chance came in the form of a Facebook message.

They bonded instantly over cosplay and a shared love of video games. Their connection grew fast and deep, and after a night out at an art museum with her friend Shanna, she decided to take a leap of faith and visit him. That visit changed everything.

The very next morning, they bought matching Teletubby costumes for Halloween (yes, they still have them!). From then on, nearly every weekend was theirs—until he bought a house, and they finally closed the distance for good.

One of their earliest and dearest memories was the surprise birthday party he planned for her at Round 1 arcade in Atlanta. Three years later, he brought that moment full circle—secretly inviting her best friend, his best friend, and his parents back to the same arcade. Then, in the cozy glow of the photo booth they once shared, he asked her to marry him.

Today, their home is filled with laughter, late-night game sessions, and the sweet chaos of their four beloved cats: Gibby, Stella, Scout, and Pumpkin. It’s not just a love story—it’s a story of healing, second chances, and choosing each other, every single day.

From two hearts that almost gave up, to one heart shared for life—this is our story. And it’s just getting started.
