Our Wedding

One Sunday over 5 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting April when she walked in the Sanctuary of Southern Baptist Church to sing. It was love at first sight. I knew she was different so I had to take my time and get to know her in a special way. I watched and waited for 3 years only speaking when we passed each other in the hallway. I can remember a time when she sat next to me, I instantly felt like a little boy, not knowing what to do or say. After that day I knew I had to make a move. One Sunday while she was feeding the choir breakfast in between services I watched her from across the room, waiting for her to be alone to make my move. When I walked over I engaged in a conversation about cooking as she advised me that she caters. I told her if she ever needed seafood I could get it for her at a discounted price, she said perfect and gave me her order( Thanksgiving happened to be  2 weeks away). I took her order and walked away but came back to ask for her number so I could let her know when I got the crabmeat. I immediately went to work and retrieved her order, I called her early in the morning on a Saturday, not knowing she wasn’t a morning person 🤣. I asked her for her address and prepared myself to deliver her order. Unfortunately when I arrived, April was still sleeping. After waiting outside for 30 minutes, April finally came to the door. Although she made me wait seeing her was worth the wait. I gave her the crabmeat and I even added some steakfish in not knowing it was her favorite fish. Before I left she hugged me and said thank you, after that hug it was the beginning of our relationship. She was my girlfriend but didn’t know it. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤣 I would periodically text her just to say hello through text. One day she called and asked for more crabmeat, I told her I was in New York so she apologized and hung up. After  that we didn’t talk for a while, I was mad so I broke up with her, once again she had no idea🤣. Two months went by without communication, One Wednesday night as I was standing outside the church something came over me and told me to go inside and give April a hug. As I walked in the door I saw her coming out of the chapel with the choir. As she got closer I approached her , spoke and gave her a hug. For me it was a very different type of hug, a special feeling ran through me while hugging her. I knew that day that she was someone special who I wanted apart of my life. That hug was the beginning of a forever friendship that evolved into a relationship . As time went by I knew she was my FOREVER. On our 3rd year anniversary I proposed, and here we are preparing to become One! I count myself blessed and favored by her presence in my life!

<p>Wow.. where do I begin<br>I was in a place where I was tired of failed relationships, tired of lies, giving so much of myself only to receive nothing in return. Michael , my blessing, my king definitely had a plan, his approach was very kind, warm and simple. I’ve never experienced a approach like this so I thought nothing of it, I just assumed he was being nice to me. Little did I know he was plotting for the right time to make his move. When I met Michael, I met a real man!! He stole my heart so I’m stealing his last name. His love healed me in so many areas of my life. He’s challenged <br>me in areas that no one has ever challenged me in. He pushed me to believe in love again. He not only showed how his love for me but his love, care and concern for my princess was mind blowing. I was so use to being an independent women who had to make it happen for my daughter and I. For the first time in my life I didn’t have to make everything happen on my own. His line was let me be the MAN!!🙌🏾🙌🏾 Long story short, when you turn it over to God, trust his plan for your life and wait he will give you the desires of your heart. God knows your heart, your wants and desires and in HIS timing He will blow your mind. I’ve found the missing piece to my puzzle! I am complete and whole.
