We met for the first time in 2017 at Valdosta State University’s move in day. Although, neither of us were actually moving in, we both thought it was a good idea to work move in day and help freshman move in to their dorms for the first time. (Something that came with the perk of getting to move in early) We somehow ended up in the same group and in the same line and somehow on the same move in tub. We spent the day moving people into their rooms and repeating the process for each family, The day ended differently for the both of us, as our team got separated and April ended the day after about two hours with a twenty dollar tip in her pocket and Logan spent the whole day helping people move in the rain.
Fast forward through the next year, we crossed paths several times. We were able to get to know each other as friends first. We even found out we lived down the hall from each other our freshman year. We found out we’re taking the same science classes and April ended up working in the building Logan lived in not one but for two straight years. In a way, it felt like we were pulled together like magnets. Through mutual friends though is how we were able to see more and more of each other. A year after that first meeting we returned for our junior year of college. April and her roommates threw a game night and invited Logan and some other friends over. This was the first time April said out loud to her friend, “What do you think of Logan? He’s kinda cute, no?” And it only took Logan, oblivious as he is, another month to make things official.
For the next six years, we lived in five different apartments and three different cities. We went through a very transitional time our lives together after graduating college, moving, and trying to find our footing as adults. We truly couldn’t have done it without support from our friends and family. On October 5th, 2024 Logan proposed and of course April said yes, it was no question. Now, after 7 years together we are so excited to begin our next chapter. Thank you for being a part of our journey as we join in marriage.
