We sure have come a long way. April moved to Las Vegas to work as a Nanny in 2013, and met Lawrence at The Beat, a hip coffee shop offering $2 beers and open mic nights. He was doing standup comedy, and she was going to sing and play her guitar.

She was on her own for the first time without family or friends nearby and he had just gotten out of a bad relationship. They may have skipped the dating part and moved straight to moving in together when April lost her job and wasn't ready to move back to Ohio 4 months into them knowing each other. :)

Fast forward 11 years later and here we are! A lot of things have happened in-between those years that make us who we are today, but we feel so lucky that we found each other and we're ready for the next chapter.
