It all started during a time when no one in the world was going out and meeting new people, let alone finding the love of their life…during the pandemic. Jake and April immediately hit it off - glued to their phones after matching on Bumble, and after a week, they had their first of many dates.

Jake pulled out all the stops: a beautiful sunset out on the boat, accompanied by the best pizza that the jersey shore has to offer. April offered to walk up the dock with him to pick up the pizza delivery, but Jake insisted he had it covered. Little did she know that was because it was dropped off by Jake’s brother and best friend - a margherita pizza (lightly baked) along with some words of encouragement. Jake was too nervous to eat more than a slice (and nothing ever comes between Jake and pizza!), so April stopped after 2 though she definitely could have eaten more. After learning how much they had in common, enjoying every moment of each other’s company, and agreeing that their date ended way too soon, there was nothing that could keep them apart - not even April’s approaching military orders to Florida to start active duty - they spent time together almost daily.

Since that first date in July of 2020, we have continued to grow together, learn together, share and adopt each other’s likes and interests, and truly become best friends. We believe that some things are meant to be, and our love is one of those things. We are so excited to share and celebrate our love with you - the ones who love and support us most!
