Our wedding festivities will generally be oriented around Brooklyn, the borough in which we've built a life together!
While New York is served by three major airports, where you stay will dramatically influence where it's convenient for you to fly in and out of. If you're staying in Downtown Brooklyn or nearby, JFK or LaGuardia airports will be your best bet.
If you're staying in Manhattan, Newark airport is also viable. We definitely recommend avoiding Newark if you're staying in Brooklyn, as that trip requires over two hours and/or a very expensive taxi.
If you're in need of guidance for navigating public transit to and from the airport, let us know. If there's one thing New Yorkers love, it's train talk!
We've established three courtesy blocks for hotels in Downtown Brooklyn, which is the area we think is going to be most convenient for getting to the venue and other activities throughout the weekend!
Ace Hotel
252 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, NY 11217
Hampton Inn Brooklyn Downtown
125 Flatbush Avenue Ext, Brooklyn, NY 11201
The Tillary Hotel
85 Flatbush Ave Ext, Brooklyn, NY 11201
That said, NYC hotel prices are always really fluid. If there's a hotel with a great deal online that is convenient for your travel plans, we recommend you grab it!
From the hotels to the events...
To get from each hotel to the rehearsal dinner, you can walk to the Jay Street/Metrotech subway stop and take the F train 5 stops to Broadway/Lafayette St.
To get to the wedding venue, walk to Jay Street/Metrotech and take the R train one stop to Dekalb Avenue. Change to a Q train and take it three stops to the Prospect Park stop.
Uber, Lyft & taxi will also be convenient options and should be reasonably priced.
If you're driving in for the occasion, check with your hotel about parking. NYC is notoriously miserable on this front, and you'll be best served by stationing your car in a hopefully-free garage through the weekend.
We don't anticipate parking being readily available for any of the events over the weekend!
