Our Wedding

Our lives first crossed paths when a mutual friend invited both of us to a party in Kitwe, Zambia, during April's time living there. While at first April didn’t notice Mauz’s interest, we continued bumping into each other at social gatherings. One particular night, we found ourselves alone at a table and struck up a conversation which later transitioned into online messages. April noticed Mauz’s sweet charm. And Mauz noticed April’s genuineness. From friendly messages to our first date at a movie theater, our connection grew effortlessly, and we officially started into a relationship in February 2020. Over the following years, we endured 7 months of long-distance due to COVID, maintained our connection and communication, went on adventures, and grew deeper in our relationship as we met each other's family and friends. In August 2022, we got engaged at a picturesque game reserve outside of Lusaka. Since then, we have moved across the world together to Edinburgh, Scotland, where April is pursuing her Masters of Counselling and Mauz has begun his career in tech sales. We believe that God has brought us together across time and culture and we are very much looking forward to getting married in October and continuing our journey together.&nbsp;

We are so excited you have traveled to come celebrate with us! We will be traveling and staying in Athens from Friday-Sunday for our wedding festivities. If you are coming in just for the wedding and want to be close to the venue, we would suggest staying in Athens. We have blocks at two hotels in Athens - one is in Downtown and the other is on the West side of Athens. There are also plenty of Airbnb's in the Athens/Watkinsville area. If you are staying longer and want to stay in Atlanta, consider booking a hotel or Airbnb near Peachtree Corners. Please note that it will be about an hour and a half drive to the wedding venue.
