Areli and Gilberto met in a quinceañera on October 9, 2021. GIlberto fell in love with Areli right away, but she did not want a relationship.After talking a couple of months Areli noticed his persistence and his attention to the little details and she started liking that very much. On February 11, 2022 Gilberto asked if Areli wanted to be his girlfriend in front of her parents and church friends where she absolutely said Yes. Areli and Gilberto have been through a lot and yet their love has persevered. First, Gilberto went through surgery and had a 3 month recovery. After, Areli was in a tragic accident where then she needed surgery and a 6 month recovery. Lastly, supporting their families through cancer and procedures. Their love has not been easy and they've had a long distance relationship for more than 3 years. Though, that has not stopped them from loving each other and growing their love. On April 20, 2024, Gilberto proposed in the most unbelievable way. He took Areli to her favorite band's concert, Banda MS, where he proposed on the stage in front of thousands of people. Where she said YES! They've worked together to cherish their relationship traveling back and forth to El Paso, being their midpoint, and 840 miles to Albuquerque and Monahans. Now, they are ready to take the next step and be together for the rest of their lives.
