Ari's world changed when he heard a knock on his dorm room door and found his future wife on the other side. It was their first semester of college and Emily was there with her best friend Christina to say hi to everyone on the dorm floor. Throughout college Emily and Ari remained friends and even attended a Chabad shabbatone together in New York City together their senior year of college. Ari went off to medical school in Chicago and Emily started her career in commercial real estate in Orlando. About 3 years later Emily and Ari started talking again, which turned into long facetimes which turned into Emily visiting Ari at his medical school home that he shared with Emmad, Johnny, and Arian in Wicker Park. That weekend they felt something stronger than either of them had ever felt - and they knew this was something very special. That year Ari matched for his internal medicine residency at Tampa General Hospital and Emily started the next phase of her career at DeBartolo Development in real estate development. In their third year in Tampa, Ari planned a trip to Chicago for their “third anniversary” which was a beautifully planned dinner in the city. The next day Ari took Emily to London House - a beautiful cocktail bar and social club overlooking the Chicago River. Ari had set up rose petals and champagne leading into the pergola on the top of the building to get down on one knee and ask Emily to be his wife.
