Jay and I met when we were just 11 years old. We instantly became inseparable. In middle school it was rare to find one of us without the other. Although we moved away from eachother, we stayed in touch and always considered the other our closest friend. I always had a crush on him, but I was always too scared to say anything. Little did I know that, after an abusive relationship and he had 2 kids, we would fall for eachother all over again at just the right moment. We lost touch for a couple years, but when we got back together it was like no time passed between us and our connection was stronger than ever before. I knew he loved me and I loved him. One night over the phone I confessed my feelings towards him and told me he has been telling me all along. The week after our one year anniversary Jay had come to Kansas without me finding out, called all of my friends and family, and he gave me the surprise of a life time...He proposed on March 22, 2024. Since then, our love has grown so much more as we have been through so much together. I am blessed to say that I am marrying my literal best friend and love of my life.
