Charis and Tembre are my two older sisters (I stopped being able to say "bigger" when I outgrew Tembre around my twelfth birthday). In addition to providing the parade of cute children that you will see at the wedding, they are serving as co-matrons of honor. You’ll catch them on the big day power-lifting a kid on each arm while they direct everyone to their positions and negotiate peace in the Middle East.

Gilbert and I met through a mutual friend at the Wesley Foundation. The following summer I stayed in Lexington, while he was back home in Owensboro. Our friendship developed over the course of the summer, as we would spend several hours each night on Skype, while playing League of Legends together. Ever since then, Gilbert has become someone that I wouldn’t want to live my life without. He is the best kind of friend that a person could ask for.

Tyler and I go way back to the second grade; in fact he was my first non-church friend. We’ve done so much together over the years, it gets hard to remember it all. One thing I’m pretty sure of though is that he’s still somewhat mad that I wouldn’t ride the beast with him in middle school.

We met when we were two, when I walked up to her and said “Do you want to be friends?” Twenty years later and she lives in Tennessee now, but she still goes to see bad romance movies with me and regales me with stories of her career in the music industry.

Mason is the oldest millennial I know… No really, “Poppy” is probably shaking his cane as he reads this. That said, adventures with him are always a blast. Mason was also instrumental in Aria and I happening.

Kristen and I were set up freshman year, when someone from the Wesley Foundation decided that two people who loved math as much as the two of us should probably be friends together. We lived together for three years of college and she still likes me, so I feel pretty lucky!

Jody and I met sometime around 2003, when we were both stranded at the church for Chancel Choir rehearsal. For the last fifteen years, she’s been one of my favorite people to cause trouble with. We’ve been in who knows how many choirs together, and she loved it so much she’s now directing her own (North Oldham Middle School!). I also lied to her for a year about who her secret buddy was on choir tour.

We knew each other from youth group, but had no idea that we would end up in the same freshman statistics class our first semester of college… Life certainly hasn’t been dull since.P.s. Sam likes to think that he is better at backyards sports than I am, when in reality he is the Jorge Garcia to my Pablo Sanchez.

Jonathan and I roomed together at the UK Wesley Foundation, during my first senior year. During this time, I learned a few things… like there’s little he loves more than snow, snow and more snow; and that he’s actually a maniac when you give him some ski’s.

Jordan and I met living at the Wesley Foundation in 2014. We briefly ran a bible study together and, more recently, like to get together to watch movies, catch up on life, and crochet like grandmas.

(From Caleb) Holly (left) and I go back to sophomore year of high school. She has always been wise beyond her years, and been there to give me advice and consolation when needed. Everyone deserves to have at least one friend like Holly. Holly also gets credit for playing a role in Aria and I happening, as she led a bible study that aided in getting Aria involved at the Wesley, during her freshman year.

(From Aria) I met Max in 2010 in chemistry class. His lab partner was a mutual friend and UofL fan, and one day early in the year, I overheard trash-talking going on and decided I needed to insert myself into the situation. We’ve been friends, one-time prom dates, and fellow passionate UK fans ever since.
