Q + A

WHERE ARE THE CEREMONY AND THE RECEPTION TAKING PLACE?

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at Asilomar in Pacific Grove, California. The ceremony will be on Asilomar beach, on the sand, weather permitting. The reception will take place on the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Merrill Hall. Please see the map below.

The map above is a map of the Asilomar Grounds.

We have circled all the parking lots for you in green. Please keep in mind the following:

1. is where the ceremony will take place, on Asilomar beach as soon as you access the beach from the street, on the right hand side. Please meet here first, around 2 PM.

Once the ceremony is over, you can take the boardwalk over to...

2. is where the Cocktail Hour will take place. This is an outdoor area/BBQ pit/grass meadows.

3. is where the reception will be taking place "Merrill Hall." There will be signs to direct you as well.

* is our back-up ceremony location. If weather does not permit the ceremony to be on the beach, it will take place there in the Chapel.

WHERE SHOULD WE PARK?

You can park in any of the parking lots on the Asilomar Conference Grounds. Please see the circled areas on the map above. There is limited street parking right next to Asilomar beach. Please consider adding extra time if you need to drop someone off at the beach and then go to park at one of the lots. It is all walkable distance, but could be 10-20 minutes depending on your speed, and choice of footwear. Heels are highly discouraged.

SPEAKING OF HEELS, WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Our wedding will be semi-formal boho beach attire. Feel free to dress up in suits and dresses. Because the ceremony will be on the beach in late November, we recommend LAYERS! You may choose to walk barefoot on the sand, but keep in mind you may want to bring jackets while we are outside for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Also, you may want to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, etc. in case it is sunny on the beach.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE CEREMONY?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3 PM. Please plan to arrive no later than 2:45 PM (that means you too Ari's Peruvian family!!) We encourage you to arrive around 2 PM to ensure time for leisurely strolls along the beach.

KIDS & PLUS ONES:

Asilomar is a beautiful venue, but only allows for at most 100 people. This is a very limited number given the size of both of our families. For this reason, we appreciate your understanding that our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND I STAY?

We recommend you stay at Asilomar itself. Please see the "Travel" tab for more information. If you are staying at Asilomar just Saturday night, call Asilomar that morning to see if you can check in early. If not, you can leave your bags at the Surf & Sand Hall before heading to the ceremony. There is also a bathroom there if you need to change or get ready.

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS ON OUR PHONES?

We want you all to enjoy and experience the ceremony IRL (in real life), not behind a camera lens. For this reason, we have hired an amazing photographer and videographer. Once the ceremony is over, then you can absolutely use phones to enjoy the sceneary and capture some fun memories. Our wedding hashtag will be #anthiana2024
