An Italian tradition called the Money dance will be performed during the reception. The money dance is an italian tradition at weddings and is also called la borsa. It involves guests placing money in a satin purse/wooden box for the newlyweds, this is to reserve a dance with the bride or groom during the time of the song chosen. The bride and groom will stand on the dance floor and wait for guests to come up and claim there dance after money is placed in the box. It is a wonderful way for the guests of honor (bride and groom) to get to spend quality time with each one of their guests on their special day.
