Q + A

How do we get to the venue?

WEDDING DIRECTIONS & INSTRUCTIONS: 1011 Ollis road Cave Junction OR 97523 PLEASE DRIVE SLOW ON OLLIS ROAD. We are located just outside of town down a private road. Once you turn right onto Ollis, You will soon pass through a Senior Citizens Trailer Park (PLEASE DRIVE SLOW) and then you will curve left and drive alongside the trailer park until you come to the end of the road where you will arrive at Ol' Joe's RV Park. STOP when you get to the entrance of Ol' Joes. Look left and our driveway is directly on your left hand side. (Please do not enter into Ol' Joes as that is a separate RV park from us.) On the left, you will see our wooden fence and gate with address signs (1011 & 160) along with a small hipcamp sign with an arrow pointing left. Our gate code is 2017# in case gate is closed. Drive all the way in and park in the VISITORS PARKING where the parking signs are. All guests staying overnight must also check in at the Camp Store upon arrival to the land.

Can we camp at the venue?

Yes!! In fact we strongly encourage people stay (especially those who plan to drink). There are 100 acres of land to camp on so pick a spot that fits you best! Please bring camping equipment. It does get cold at night even during the hot summer months.

Are there on site structures we can reserve to stay in?

There is the option to reserve canvas tents in a few sizes, but as these are limited, we are trying to give priority to those traveling from out of state. If renting a tent, you will have to provide your own bedding but set up and break down will be provided by the venue. Please contact us if you are interested.

How long can we stay?

We have reserved the entire property for 2 full days. Beginning Saturday July 20th and check out will be Monday July 22nd at 11 am.

Is there somewhere to swim?

Yes!! There is a wonderful swimming hole with a floating dock right on the property! A shallow swim area is located down the hill from the sauna and is great for little ones. Stay an extra day and enjoy all the amenities Cedar Bloom has to offer. Bring your swimsuits, towels, and sun block.

What will we need if we are staying both days?

Food and drinks for Sunday/Monday. There is a small grocery store 5 minutes from the property for any last minute needs as well as the larger town of Grants Pass 30 minutes away. Swim stuff, towels, sun block, camping equipment and other things you need to enjoy a relaxing post wedding day of hanging out, swimming, and camping. The property is truly beautiful and we would love for everyone to enjoy it in all its glory.

What about cooking and food storage?

There is a large communal kitchen and a walk-in cooler. While these amenities will be in use during the day of the wedding while our friend Chef Jed prepares a delicious meal for us all, they will be available to use on Sunday. We do ask that you help to keep the kitchen clean so that all guests can utilize the space at need.

Can we bring our dog?

No. As much as we love all the pups, we ask that you do not bring them.

What is the attire?

The attire will be semi formal but please keep in mind the venue is all outdoors with mix of grass, dirt, and rocky terrain. Also being mid summer it will be rather hot during the day but cool off considerably at night. Wear what makes you feel good and can dance, walk, and feel comfortable in. Again, it does tend to get cold late night so jackets or a warm layer will be needed.

What airport should we fly in to?

For those coming from afar there are two airport options. Portland International Airport (PDX) in Portland will have more flight options but is about a 4.5 hour drive to Cedar Bloom. Otherwise Rogue Valley International Airport (MFR) in Medford is only about an hour from Cedar Bloom but will likely have less flight options.

Should we bring a gift?

We are forgoing a registry and instead doing a honeymoon fund for the wedding.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome but please take into account that the wedding and venue are entirely outside. Just make sure you put the little ones to sleep before the late night festivities are in full swing for your own enjoyment.
