Well, after our essentially nonexistent introduction, we didn't see each other, and who could blame us?

The first time we unofficially met, we were just strangers in a stranger's backyard. But, in my book, we had met. And that was all it took.

We saw each other from time to time, at bible studies, leaders groups, and other events. And, although there was certainly interest between us, it wasn't God's timing just yet.

After a few months of trading looks from across the room, I was invited by Jacob's roommate to a movie night.

I walked into the house, started chatting and soon got into a debate about, I kid you not, whether or not cereal is soup.

Jacob came upstairs from his room to join the group, overheard my conversation with his roommate, and by God's grace, joined our ridiculous conversation.

Eventually, our conversation died down and we joined the rest of the group in the living room.

I found myself enjoying Jacob's company but it wasn't just because I found him attractive. Something struck me about his character.

This unexplainable interest of mine became clear as we began to play a game that required for you to show photos from your camera role. As each of us showed silly pictures of our pets and siblings, Jacob's camera role was filled with bible verses.

By the end of that night, I was smitten, and he was too.

We began to try to see one another more often, and gradually, our relationship began to develop.

This led to him joining my friends and I for lunch one day, as shown above.
