WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE
We'd love to see our guests get dressed in their best western attire! The dress code is cowboy semi-formal. This means men can wear jeans and their best flannels and nice button as well as cowboy boots!
Women can wear nice sundresses, or any dress that makes you feel most beautiful! Cowboy boots/ nice heels or whatever is your most comfortable as the venue is grass and dirt.
CAN I BRING A DATE/PLUS ONE?
Due to limited space on our family farm, we are only able to accommodate those guests who are formally invited on the wedding invitation. If you receive a plus one, it will be specified on your formal invitation! If a plus one is brought who was not on the invite, they will not get food or a chair as we are only accommodating who we invited.

We have so many little ones in our big family that we cant do this day without! Bring all the littles!
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE
Our ceremony will start at 3pm, guests can start arriving between 2pm-2:30pm to enjoy mingling and finding their seat by 2:50pm.
WHERE ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION TAKING PLACE?
The Ceremony and Reception are taking place at the same location, 28004 165th ave, Long Prairie, MN, Ceremony is on June 7th.
We will have a parking sign on where to park on the venue.
WHAT FOOD WILL BE SERVED?
We will provide a selection of smoked ham and biscuit with green beans, gravy, potatoes, ham sauce, and rolls.
WILL THERE BE A COCKTAIL HOUR/BAR?
We will be having a small selection of wine/ beer with no open bar or unlimited drinks. We ask our guests to not over serve themselves as we are only serving a limited amount and want everyone to have a change to have a drink, and mingle. Drinking is not important to the bride and groom, nor a priority at this wedding. Everyone is responsible for getting themselves to the hotel or home at the end of the night. You can camp at the farm, but car pool or have a ride already set up. There are no Uber or Lifts that far out. The new Bride and Groom will be leaving the ceremony around 9:30-10pm. After that, it is expected that everyone who is not staying at the farm to camp, leaves. Plan accordingly.
WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?
We ask our guests to RSVP by May 1st, 2025. The deadline for the hotel room block is May 9th, 2025. After this date, all unclaimed rooms will be released and no longer claimable.
CAN I TAKE PICTURES?
We will have a photographer for our special day on June 7th, and will have a scan-able QR code for our guests to scan and take as many pictures as they want of and at the reception! Everyone will have access to the drive the pictures go into if you decide to scan and take pictures! That way we can capture some fun memories together! We will also have a photographer to take pictures of family as well. Please do not pull the photographer aside to take personal photos, she will tell you no. There will be no photos taken without the bride and groom in them.
HOW DO I RESERVE A HOTEL ROOM?
We have a hotel block at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria. Just call them and say you would like to reserve a room from the Smith/Kost wedding block. The deadline for this is May 9th, 2025. After this date, all unclaimed rooms will be unavailable.
